He quickly grew the spectacular 100-acre property into one of Ocala’s most sophisticated equestrian experiences and a cherished retreat for Genovese family and friends.
Genovese’s BG Signature family of businesses have also called the ranch home for annual corporate retreats. Partners gladly traded in the boardroom for blue jeans and the luxurious 10,000-square-foot main house and cottages overlooking tranquil horse paddocks and pastures. Horseback riding, hiking and biking in the great outdoors, along with fine wine and cuisine, proved the perfect mix to inspire many of our most innovative businesses and ideas.

Bobby Genovese has been connecting enthusiastic people with winning opportunities since age 25, when he founded his first company in his native Ontario, Canada. Following this, Bobby established BG Capital Group Limited and BG Capital Management Corporation, with six associate management offices in the Bahamas, Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida, Los Angeles, Toronto and Vancouver.
Since that time, Bobby has been involved in countless entrepreneurial ventures across a wide range of industries. As he often says, “More than working hard and being smart, seeing the big picture is key.”
Bobby is also a seasoned equestrian, having grown up on an Ontario farm where he began working with horses at an early age and taught horsemanship skills to others. A champion polo player and team owner, he brought success to the sport with the launch of multiple polo and equestrian clubs, including BG Polo & Equestrian in Vero Beach, Florida.
In 2013, Bobby’s love for adventure, combined with his commitment to the preservation of natural resources, led to the creation of BG Signature, a global portfolio of extraordinary destinations and experiences. The private-access VIP collection spans the spectrum of events in sports, fashion, culture and more.
With his love of horses, Bobby’s overarching goal in founding BG Ocala Ranch is to give visitors of the ranch a completely unique equine experience in a remote haven of natural beauty and contemporary luxury.
Bobby Genovese is also a tireless philanthropist, dedicating a substantial amount of time, energy and substantial resources to helping a number of philanthropic endeavors, especially those that provide for the well-being of children. As chairman of the annual Car and Boat Rally Scavenger Cups, he has helped raise funds for Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children, Canada’s largest and most sophisticated center for pediatric cancer research, treatment and care. Bobby has also regularly supported the Face The World Foundation (FTW), a nonprofit educational and cultural exchange organization.
